well im finally bout ready to put this 5 speed in my car and i cant figure out what to put in it i am going to use the 5 liter stuff and keep it at 10.5" i had centerforce 2's in all my other cars im thinking a dual friction this time around anyone have any other clutch suggestions for 400-500 horse car that will be driven on the street? btw its only a 306cid! jus want some input or opinions thanx!

btw i will be using a mcleod billte flywheel drilled for 10.5" clutch as well as drilled out for an 11" clutch!

the thing i didnt like about the centerforce clutches is they werent very smooth for take ofs on the street there was jus a super fine line between grabbing and slipping and yes i do know how to drive a stick! the pedal feel on a center force jus didnt feel right!

4-500 horse at the flywheel??

I know a guy who ran the FRPP King Cobra behind his 408, and it has held up pretty well!

well, I just bought a Centerforce DF and have had different advice from people on another forum. I am really thinking about changing to a Mcleod disk because others seem to have had probs with the DF from Centerforce. One guy just pulled his out only after 4 runs and it's already gone. I guess the clutches just don't hold well, although Centerforce does use the exact same pressure plate as the King Cobra, the only difference being is that they add their own orange paint and weight system to increase clamping force.

Everyone has said good things about Spec clutches though, you might want to look there, or look at the Mcleod setup with DF disk and King Cobra flywheel, lots of guys have had good luck with that setup as well.
