hoping you guys can help out. i have a 86 taurus 3.0 in the shop with a rolling idle. intermintent stalling, intermintent high idle. isc checks fine. code 13 comes up on koer test with snap on modis. definition is cant control idle during self test. all tests lead to a bad computer. throttle body is clean, base idle is set.

i slapped a reman ecm in it today. right before quiting time. seems to be better. still have to re-run tests. i hate changing puters when it dont fix the problem!

check the basics, vacum leaks will play games with pcms. an 86 will probably have some tired intake gaskets. watch the o2 sensor on your monitor will spraying carb cleaner or propane around the upper and lower intakes. check all the vacum lines. code 13 doeant always mean an isc or computor problem. it just means the pcm cant get the desired idle that is commanded.
