whats the differance if you use a head with a 60cc compared to a 55cc. the smaller the cc the better? thanks

The smaller the cc, the smaller the combustion chamber volume (that's what the cc measurement is),and hence the higher the compression ratio. All else being equal, a higher compression ratio will make more power.

Except the fine print


Higher compression and more power sounds good, just realize that when compression reaches a certain point ... difficulties will begin to arise because of it.

Primarily this will affect the fuel you need to use in the engine ...

Also as compression rises ... the efficiency gains deminish. In simple terms .. the gains of going from 8:1 to 9:1 are far greater than the gains going from 10:1 to 11:1.



Moral to the story is ... don't let youself get too carried away pumping up the compression.
