Have AFR 185 heads which came assembled with double springs. They are said to be ok to .550" lift by AFR. My cam has .574 lift on the intake.I measured the AFR valvespring pressures, they are 115 closed and 280 at full lift. Coil bind is not a problem even if I add a.030-0.050 " spacer.
What kind of pressure do I need to rev to 6500 rpm without valve float? (232 /240 at 0.050&quot

So how much pressure do I need?
I also have a set of new CC 987 springs which have 125 / 320 pressure but the problem is that the rubber valve guide does not fit well inside the inner spring.
