I put a Rod & Custom front under my 67. It put the motor where I can only use a 12 inch fan if I run it from the water pump. I'm wondering what you guys are using to cool your big blocks. With a 3 inch thick core Griffin I'm wondering how much fan I will need. I have room for 2 10 inch and probably 2 8 inch fans. The 10's move 1250 and the 8's move about 400. I'm wondering if this will be enough. I'm hoping the extra water from the rad will help. Perma-cool's site says you need over 4000 CFM on a motor my size and there is no way I can get that much fan in there.

My rad is 27X18 I think but it is 2 tube 1 1/2 inch tubes. I was hoping the extra thick tubes would help. I can fit 2 10 inch pullers on the lower half of the rad, and 2 8 inch above them for a total CFM of 3200 or so but I have to use 4 fans to get it. No room in front for anything.

I cut out part of mine also, but I still have the front up and down and the bottem. I re-enforced it with angle iron. Now it looks as if I need to take more off to shove it forward or go with the 4 little fans. How much of the support do I need? It looks like I can gain an inch if I rework it again but I would like to leave it as is. I can only go with about a 13 inch fan if I bolt it to the water pump and that puts it at the extreme top of the rad.
