Does 1973 Maverick’s 200 I6 has hardened valve seats ?

I found a Maverick with VIN: 3P51C18347. I believe this a 1973 and I think it has the 200, but not sure.

Does anyone know if it has hardened valve seats?

I actually have a 1964 Falcon with the 170. I am thinking about swapping the heads.

Is it possible to install a 200 head on a 170?

Thanks

Yes, they all had hardened seats from the factory - not separate installed seats, but as-cast and then hardened. There is no reason to have a shop install "hardened seats" unless your originals are worn or damaged beyond repair, as you will gain nothing. This is true of all 1950s and newer Ford heads.

The head swap is possible, but see this.
