I was trying to reach him but found his user ID to be deleted. He was a member as recently as late last year and had more than 7000 posts. I can not find anything about him online but had a few questions for him regarding some old posts that he made. I hope all is well with him and would appreciate anyone who knows him dropping me a line if it is possible to get in touch with him.
Thanks,

Nathan

Sometimes you close one book and open another. Greg is a great guy, an extrordinary car guy. From my way of looking at it, you could build a great car, just from following his mistakes, let alone copying his sucesses.

I'm sure he has found happines where ever he is currently sharing his knowledge. Obviously if he isn't posting here any more he has reasons. Far as I know, he (and others) are around on the 'Net and continues to maintain contact with a number of people

His '63, Galaxie, nicknamed "Battle Start Gallactica", was the prime reason I was attracted to this site in the first place. If he said something automotive related, you could just about regard it as papal truth.

The "Old guard" is like an Oasis in the desert, you never miss it, as long as it is around. What the heck, aren't there enough...new self proclaimed experts around to answer your questions?

Hi Guys,

Old Cook here.............

I haven't been around recently due to what I guess could be called a misunderstanding late last fall.

I was banned by the admin under the old name so I just figured my ugly old face wasn't needed aroud here anymore....

Hope all is well!

Nathan, I replied to your message at the "other place".

Originally I called the car Battlestar Galactica after the old TV series, but then there were some who claimed that name had already been used.

So I changed it to Battlestar One.

Anyway, I put some new tires on it this spring and it seems to like them. It went 9.94 in street trim which was just quick enough to get me kicked out of the track since my safety is only good for 10.0.

Not much new, still restoring old cars. I'm nearing the end of a '30 DeSoto Straight Eight Coupe and am in the middle of a '59 Mercury Park Lane Convertible with 430 engine.

And yet another 54 Buick Skylark.

I picked up a nice 44,000 mile 65 Comet Caliente Red 2 door hardtop at Spring Carlisle. Stone stock, not sure what I'm gonna do with it just yet.
