The amount is not as critical as the same about each time. If you start the eliminations with a full tank, then you want to run each round with a full tank. This just takes one variable out of the equation when you need to know what your car is going to do from run to run.

It kinda of a catch 22, more fuel more weight and maybe a bit more traction, less fuel less weight. If you are running something with significant HP and street tires it probably will not matter much.
Personally I always race with 1/2 a tank, seems like a good compromise to me. The times I raced with a full tank my ET`s were down.

I agree with nastystang you can kind of use how much fuel you run as a tuning device.If traction is good and top ets are important go with around a quarter tank or so.If your having trouble with traction try half a tank .If your bracket racing and just want to be consistant and don't care about trying to get a "new low et" just fill er up and keep it there.
