When I bought my '67 Fairlane Coupe there was no engine (or floors but that's another story) and some parts were in the trunk. Including, a drive shaft which I assumed came out of the car. Now I'm not sure It was originally a 289 three speed manual car. The drive shaft had no yoke. The holes for the universal joints are 1" but everything I've read indicates they should be 1-1/16". Were there any Fairlane drive shafts that accepted 1" universal joints and does this look like the correct drive shaft for a '67 Fairlane?

That doesn't look like the driveshaft that was in my 66 with C4. I believe the C4 and manual yokes are the same dimensions. My driveshaft was a uniform diameter along its length except at the differential end. There a smaller tube was pressed into some rubber bushing inside the larger outer tube. I replaced it with a custom drivehaft since I put a 9 inch axle in. I may still have it kicking around. I really need to make a run to the dump.
