On a 302 with iron GT 40 heads, when going from a manifold with rear water crossover (Edelbrock Performer) to one without (Weiand 7515), does there need to be any modification done to the heads or gasket?

Thanks.

Am I making a mistake by trying to use this manifold? If I just seal it up around those passages will I be OK?

Thanks again.

Thanks for the tip on sealing up that water passage real well. There isn't alot of material around the ports for sure. It may be a little much for my engine but I will swap for a Performer RPM if it isn't driveable. Saw an old dyno comparison and it made surprising power down low so I thought I would try it. Thanks again.

Got that manifold on (finally) and it seems to be sealed OK. No leaks so far. I wonder if I need to jet it richer going from a dual plane. It seems to run OK, especially at higher revs, as expected, but is a dog off the line. It may be too much for my mild engine. It idles way better for some reason. Any tuning suggestions?
