Im looking at either the Performer Ford (60329) or Performer 5.0 (60379) heads for use on a 5.0L roller block based 347 for street use. Im looking at used heads due to try to reduce cost. Wasnt there something about these heads being 'redesigned' or 'improved' a few years ago and the older styles has some problems?

Also Im looking at the 60329s as they have the stud mounted valve train. Is there a roller rocker that would fit the 60379 bolt down head or for rolers rockers should I stick with stud mount?

Thanks for any info and insight.

The "older" Ebrock heads had 4-digit part numbers, the newer ones have 5-digit part numbers. The old ones didn't have problems, Edelbrock just came out with better designed runners and chambers (better flow and combustion) and gave these heads new part numbers. You can get the Performers for either type of rocker arm, it's up to you.
