Installed a used 1411 carb on a 428 engine. The driver side idle mix screw does not do anything. You can screw it in all the way and the motor is not affected. The other side is ok. If this was a Holley I would have an idea what to do but it is not. Sudgestion?????

Idle circuit on that side is plugged. You will need to take the carb apart, no big deal, and clean the base and metering circuits. The las time I saw that the rod that goes into the metering well was plugged right at the bottom of the pickup tube.
