u will need to get a fuel pressure regulator with a return to tone down the fuel pressure

also a distributor from a carburator car and an MSD Ignition, or you get an MSD Distributor and hook it up to an MSD box.....

also a different throttle cable since its carburated...

thats pretty much it i think

Thanks Magic. I was woried about getting false engine warning lights etc. But I guess one would just disconnect the computer solving that problem. I haven't decided yet if I am going to do that as my block is in the machine shop and the rotating assembly is being balanced.

Hi all! I am also converting my 91lx to carburation. I am currantly running stock, but fully ported heads, b303 cam, fms 1.6 roller rockers, bbk cold air intake, 70mm mass air meter,70mm bbk throttle body, stock lower intake. I removed the egr valve and spacer and installed a little gadget I bought off ebay to keep the light from comming on. I have changed computers, adjusted everything I can find to adjust, but it still doesnt run right. Runs very rich , but kind of goes threw changes as the engine warms up. any ideas? I bought an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake and a Quick fuel 650 carb, but havn't made the change yet! any help would be awsome!

I am converting my '89 to a carbed 347 stroker. Although I am in the build stage right now, all my research has shown me that the computer and all it's associated wiring gets totally removed. There is a web site http://www.jason.fletcher.net/tech/efi-carb/efi-carb.htm that is dedicated to carb conversions. Take a look. I have a friend that undid his 87GT and did as I said above. Go for it and good luck.

Or you can use a 85 Mustang GT dura spark and plug your MSD box into it.
