I have a 91 f-150 with a 5.0 and I think it does not have the 5.0 ho or 351w firing order. My question is if I change the firing order of the cam (change to a 5.0 ho cam) do you need to change the injector timing?

I think all the 5.0 non-HO motors had batch fire injector timing so it doesn't really matter what the firing order is. I think one side fires and then the other does, maybe all 8 fire at once, pretty sure it isn't sequential.

The computer does. The firing order, or lack there of, is set in the computer.

Trucks are bank fired in two groups of four. These are 1,4,5,8 then 2,3,6,7.
The firing order won't have an effect unless you go sequential.

I checked the wiring digrams for the truck batch fire 5.0 and 5.8 engines, both use the same firing for the injectors.
