Got a 65 fairlane with 200 i6. I want to swap the 3 speed for a t5 and didnt know if the conversion kit (for mustang) from classic inlines would be helpful?

only thing helpful would be the adapter plate to mount the T5 to the bellhousing. The Mustang trans crossmember will not work on the Fairlane. Also the T5 shifter location with be in the center of the hump, like a Mustang and not off to the side like the Fairlane. If you are not installing a Fairlane console or not concerned about the "correct" location of the shifter, no problem using a T5. Cut the floor where ever the shifter locates. If you want to install a console, or Fairlane floor hump, the T5 will not work for you.
