If you mean the Mustang Coil over/Escort p.rack & pinion kit, yes, i;ve had it in my 62 for about a month.
We used the RRS shock tower notch kit, just to allow for lots more header choices & the Fatman kit was a simple bolt in.
Choices of using an aftermarket steering colomn or shortening your stock one to mate up to steering shaft to rack. I shortened my stock one, very importatant to get it right for shaft angle to rack, if i was doing it again i would buy an Ididit comomn as shortening, installing bearing, etc took me 2 tries!
Your rack ends up right under the oil pan & there was some bending & swearing to get the p.steering lines to clear the oil pan, very close & it seems some pans clear ok, some don;t so be careful here.
Test for leaks on those p.steering lines because once your mill is on, its just to close to get to where the lines bolt in to the rack.
If your F;lane is stock ride height or close to it, your good to go, the coli over adjusters give you around 2" or so of ride height adjustment, my problem was my car was 4" lower than stock & i wanted that ride height back, which caused many problems. Using a 12"-250 spring With the adjusters bottomed out, on any kind of good sized bump i;d get a huge WACK as the springs collapsed on themselves, so back to the kit supplied 14"-250 spring which solved this problem & gave a really nice ride, with the front end to high in the air! The solution was a set of RaceCraft 2" dropped spindles with a 13" -225 spring i have the perfect ride height. The pwer steering has a great feel (KRC Adj.p.steering pump) & the car corners on rails! Took months to get it sorted out , asll becuase of my lowered ride height. i must add here, Fatman were in touch with me every couple of days to help through this process, i.e- My low height made it much better to bolt the steering tie rods in from ther bottom, instead of in the top, but the steering end tapered from the top! Fatman re-drilled my outer tie rod ends to accept the tapered end from the bototm, allowing my outer rack arms to be perfectly level!(no bumpsteer whatsoever)
Sorry, went on & on a bit,eh!
The car drives/handles just incredibly well & if your near stock ride height this very complete kit is a weekend bolt in
any questions drom me a pm
