Motorsport block, eagle rods, eagle crank, je pistons, bullett roller cam, jegs/kaase heads, victor jr., with a 950 alcohol carb. Power glide trans, 4.30 gear, 28x10.5w tires. This is in an 85 mustang. It ran 10.09 @129 mph. Still have some adjustments I think. The timing is @ 30 deg, I'm launching @ 4800 rpm and shifting @ 7000 rpm. What do you guys think ?

Me thinks there is a lot of potential there. Not that it runs bad now....in fact, I'm impressed, a LOT. I would really like to know that those Jegs heads are worth their $2K price tag. I have a set of Jr's on mine now...been looking pretty hard at the Jegs heads for my backup engine but with all of the mixed reviews, I'm not dropping that much ca$h yet. I'm running 9.60's with a very similar combo....but with the unported Jr heads and a flying toilet rather than a carb. I'd like to get it down in the 5.80's in the 1/8.
