I had some 302 heads flowed at R&L Engines, Inc.
On the data sheet it say's Estimated power per cylinder 46 hp. So the heads have a 368 hp potential

I have on idea how the program gets the estimate but I'm sure it has something to do with bore, stroke, valve size, port size all that stuff.

The formula I got somewhere is intake cfms * 8 * .257 = horsepower potential for a given set of heads. This assumes the exhaust to intake flow ratio is optimal. I think that is around 70 percent. This would be for naturally aspirated horsepower.
