My 390 is now smoking badly out of the passenger side exhaust after new cam valve springs and seals and new aluminum intake it was a barn find car but didn’t smoke before the swap

Intake gasket on that side is leaking.
The leak is at the "bottom" of the port(s) in the lifter valley.
It's sucking oil into the intake from the valley side.

What manifold did you install?
Maybe wrong gaskets?

Oh right, it's an FE, so that means the intake port gasket surface is completely "surrounded" by oil,
since the intake to head gasket surface is under the valve cover and also exposed to oil in the lifter valley.

Did you test fit the intake WITHOUT gaskets and check for gaps at the heads?
Machining mis-match between the intake/head port surface, and the china walls can cause the intake to not seal.

FE intakes can sometimes be a challenge to get a good seal at the intake ports.

Did you use the Fel-Pro "print-o-leak" 1247 or 1246 composite gaskets?

Pull the plugs and see which hole/s are oily and start there. Intake leak might be in the valve train area since that intake is under the valve covers too unlike other Ford engines.

I’m not positive but I believe this is the part number for the gaskets I used MS90145

So if it didn't smoke before, then this is something you created.

Pull the intake and check for gaskets leaking/sucking oil at the ports.

Use these gaskets when you put it back on.

The FelPro Print o Seal should be renamed Print o Leak. If you used those, replace them with a more substantial gasket. Good Luck

He used these ones, the el-cheapo FelPro stock type gaskets.

I think they are the wrong gaskets for this application.

I mentioned the Print 0 leaks in my post above.
The Print 0 leaks are the FelPro 1246 and 1247 sets.

The FelPro 1246S3 and 1247S3 are "ok" as they have the steel core,
but there are much better gaskets out there.

MrGasket 202's are good.

one bank's valves were not machined 4 the new style valve seals, one bank valve seals installed incorrectly, block: other side of oil path cloged (& should B doing it too)?

Ditch the front and rear cork gaskets they can stop manifold from sitting properly
Make sure the block is super dry and use hi temp sealant
Manifold has to go one exactly right first time.
I've done dummy installs a measured gap ,made gasket out of correct cork sheet glued silicon. Fixes oil burn but they always leak
