I'm considering being at the "motor purchasing stage" in 2 months or so, and I been looking at the pros and cons of building an engine from scratch, and its not weighing in for me

I've looked at different companies that build crate engines like proformanceunlimited.com, and so on, but their prices are pretty high for such low HP/Torque rating

Unlike these guys:

Any advice on this engine?

I would check with Barry at Survival Motorsports, but then again I am partial to the FE engine.

X2 Berry R or Brent, I built mine and I would just buy if I had to do it again. Machine shops are a pain in the butt and getting the right parts is a nightmare. To much after mkt stuff is just junk that does not fit right. Get your engine from some one that builds FE engines every day.
