Has anyone used a 347 stroker short block from FRP? Anyone have comments on plus/minuses of this setup? I'm thinking of using this as the foundation for my next project as follows:

347 FRP Short Block
Edelbrock RPM Heads 2.02/1.94
Edelbrock Performer Pro-FLo EFI setup
Comp Cams Roller Cam recommended by Edelbrock
1.6 Roller Rockers.

What do you think? In Edelbrock's catalog it states that they built a 302 with the same listed parts above and got 395 HP and 358 lb/ft. Does this sound unreal?

Any thoughts of using a standard 302 block vs. a 347 block?

That kind of power sounds totally doable with that set up. I'm interested in finding out how the Edelbrock Pro-Flo MPI set up compares to the SEFI. As far as the block, well the 347 uses either a non-roller 302 block, or the post-'82 (I think) 5.0 roller block.

Roller blocks came in some 84 Mustangs. I'd find out if the ring is up into the piston pin. Its just me, but I don't like this arrangement.
