its alive- that pic is of the restored car.
494 inch MAGNESIUM Boss 429 motor was a spare for andrettis Can-Am car. I got the article here somewhere- had it hangin in the garage for a while...think it ran like 10.75 in streetable trim. Mountain motor power at less than smallblock weight...

that tasca Boss 429 is a alum can am motor,i think its a 494 cu.in. motor, back in the day tasca would bet money on anything that would beat it, i dont think it was ever beat, i know its been restored and i have it somewhere in either mustang monthly or some ford mustang magazine, that cool Boss 9 is unreal.

Somewhere I'd read tasca procured a mag motor for their car, and it was a spare for andrettis can-am car...tired of looking for the page though...I give up
