Car went 10.87 @124 with a 7.01 @100MPH for the 1/8. Had a 1.59 short time and a best of the day 1.55 shoart. The best MPH for the day was 126. Unfortunately I cut a really bad light in the first round and was sent home early. Thge car still has more in it. It was a relatively warm day 80-85 deg F. Had lots of fun.

Yep!!! Took us a while to find the blankety blank track, but once we were there it was very nice. They need a few more signs or at least better directions on the web site.

That is an absolutely gorgeous car
I did not get the chance to see what you did to the interior, but the outside was fantastic. As far as the track location goes, your right, if you don't know where it is, it can be tough to find.

P.S. My ETs were about .2 slower from my prior best at that track this year. The density altitude was around 2,800' +.

You a correct the air was not really good and the track prep was not real good either. My car was running about .30 slower than it should have. Car moved around alot past 1/2 track. But the place is a nice track that is well laid out. "Team AMSOIL" had a good time.

Econodrag,

One of the things they (CCMP) have done lately is to change bracket racing from 1/4 to 1/8. Initially the reason was because of the pollen settling on the track and making it slick on the big end. Additionally, I have heard that past half track the surface may be a slightly wavy so that may also be contributing to them shorting to 1/8th at least temporarily. I don't know if that is true or not. I really didn't notice anything that way, but my mph was around 113 so it could be that the faster cars were picking up on that.

By the way, your car was great too.

Excellent! 10's with a 100hp shot in a STREET car is great!

I guess the late model block, combined with the additional stress of the stroker keeps you from turning up the nitrous any more.....

Good Luck!

Turns out the locals don't like the track and have torn down all of the signs! The owners have the track up for sale since they're sick and tired of the neighbors!

Wished I could have come out to see the car run but got sick.

I do not know about wavy, as that is hard to tell in a suspended car but my car did move around quiet a bit on the big end. It felt almost like I did not have enough air in the tires. I normally run around 120mph in the 1/4 at Ennis, but at CCMP I could only manage 117.

BTW; What was you driving at the track?

N2OMike.. The enjoyment for me is that it is a full street car, yes I have a roll bar but I also have air conditioning. The roll bar is a necessity. This car has a race weight of 3205# so I could probably shave 100 lbs pretty quick if I wanted to take it off the street. The 100-125 shot is all I am willing to put on the car with the stock block, like you said there is a limit with these blocks. I wish I would have ponied up for a Dart block when I built it. I live about 23 miles outside of town so the 5 speed and street manners are a must. Thanks again to all that replied.
