Is there a way to look at an et slip to determine if I need bigger secondary jets or do you just have to trial and error?
Right now I'm running a 289 60 over, with a BG 650DP, and RAM Air Setup. My plugs are a chalky white color (no piston).
The et is 13.88 at 98.6 with a 1.99 60ft time.
just curious,

BRDVPRA, I'd say there's no way you can infer jetting requirements by looking at 1 time slip but a chalky white color on a carburated engine would tell me to go up 2 jet sizes and check it again. If your lean your trap speed will go up a little as you move towards best horse power jetting. I think trap speed is a more reliable indicator of horse power then ET. Bruce
