I have a ground wire from my fuel cell, on the ring around the filler hole. But do I put a ground wire on the sending unit too? I don't remember if I have to or not.

You shouldnt have to ground the sending unit itself. I grounded the ring of the filler on my Harwood cell which is plastic ,to the body and the gauge works great.I'm assuming thats what your doing.I used an autometer gauge 0-90 ohms for the GM sending unit.

if you're planning on racing/participating at any NHRA event, both items must have a ground strap attached to it. (trust me....been there, done that). I assumed that just the filler neck had to have it, but the sending unit also has to have one. CYA..........
