OK, I have perhaps a simple question to ask. I have a 351C in my 88 LX. The fuel line from the fuel pump to the carb is 5/16. I feel a 3/8 would flow more fuel. Here is the questionable part. Since the fuel pump is designed for a 5/16 line, if I were to put a larger fitting on the pump to allow a 3/8 line to be used will the pump still put enough fuel to benefit from the 3/8 line?

The smallest point in the fuel system is the limiting factor for flow. The outlet hole on the pump is smaller than 5/16" so the larger line wont really help much. The needle and seat hole is only about .110" so the 5/16" would be fine..
