I'm still running my stock fuel pump on my 66 Mustang
, but I'd like to make sure my fuel system is going to support my hi-po engine rebuild. What are the real differences performance-wise between a mechanical and an electric fuel pump? If I'm making in the range of 360 - 400 HP, how much fuel pump do I need? Are there any issues with using the stock fuel line diameter?

I'm running a Mustang in the HP range you specified. I have the stock fuel line with
a 110gph electric fuel pump. I have never ran out of fuel. It was a little worried about the 5/16 fuel line, it hasn't been a problem.

My personal sugestion a holley blue comes with the regulator and everything, just put it as close as you can to the tank and use 3/8 fuel line
