I pulled the clock apart on my 66 Gal hoping it was something I could fix. It was 'beyond repair', but I gotta admire the intricacy. I bet these clocks cost Ford a pretty penny back in the day.
I don't think this one is repairable.

btw, the fuse block for the dome/clock circuit had two AGC 10 amp fuses sort of 'teepeed' together. No wonder it fried.

Thanks, Danv. Points on a clock! No wonder mine cooked itself. Now I need to find a donor for a transplant...

I remember reading an article on a guy who used a clock out of an
'81 cougar (i think) and put it behing the original clock's face plat and
used the original hands off a '63's clock. It could be possible to do with
a '66's clock. I will dig around and see if i can find it.
