Garage, Progress.

Well this is where the garage is now.

All this started with me putting up lighting...

The guy that did it the first time really half assed it. And then did not Paint it. The Dryer vent is in the garage, and the moisture from it Destroyed the Compound work and messed a lot of the Drywall up. (Nails were pulling through)
The guy got Really Lazy when doing it and just Half assed it. there is a Cement wall up to about 4 1/2 feet and then the rest is Framed, and there is a 1/2 inch over lap for the drywall (So that it is level with the Cement wall). Anyway instead of cutting the bottom off of the Drywall he Just forced it in to place and Crushed about two inches all the way across the bottom instead of Cutting it off. The sad thing is if he would have just cut it he would have been able to let the Cement wall hold it up there so He could mount it to the wall... None of it was Level with eachother...
And the Compound work this guy did is despicable. there was not one piece of tape done correctly...

I'm not going to get into all of it because it will be a mile long...

So after just under 60 hours of work. Removing Tape that was falling off walls/ceiling, Scraping all of his compound work off (Could not compound over it, it just kept falling off the ceiling) Removing a lot of the drywall Fixing the problems with them. Remounting them. Then Taping all of it, and then Feathering all of it.

Would have took a 1/4 of the time to just do it right in the first place... :

This is where I am...

There is 1028 CU FT of drywall. they are 10' x 4' sheets. (Just to give you an Idea of how much there are.)









I have quite a bit more work to do have so sand all of it then I can prime, Then Paint, I maybe able to finish some time in the next few days. (It is finally warming up a little, Snowed all weekend.)

And it is going to snow again by this weekend so I got to get done. Should get most of it painted tomorrow. (If I can get done sanding today)



Anyway I got to get back to work.
