I've got a Mallory 4060FI Electric Fuel Pump running my EFI system in my 68 Mustang. It's been running fine the past month until this past Saturday, when it started whining pretty loudly. Then Saturday night my friend told me he saw gas dripping pretty steady back from under the tank. I looked underneath, and right where the bracket attaches to the pump, gas was literally shooting out in a steady stream, kind of like a pin-hole in a water balloon, only a much thicker stream. I didn't put the hole there, and it wasn't caused by any debris, so does anyone know what this hole is? My best guess is some sort of pressure release valve, in case the gerator gets clogged (which might explain the loud whining earlier in the day?). Or, was there a screw in that hole that possibly worked it's way out? Any ideas? Thanks!
