just picked up another Galaxie,I was looking for a parts car for my 66 and my neighbour came over and told me about this 65 his dad had in the barn on the farm and wanted to get rid of,so I went had a look at it and bought it on the spot,Specs:65 Galaxie 500,4 door sedan,352 cubic inch motor, freaking this is like new, last time it looks like it was registared was in 67 then put in a barn after that, they told me they thought it had a bent push rod,I'll investagate that as i go along, car is in near mint condition, interior needs a good cleaning and the only rust I see is the bumpers and pass quarter panel.I'm going to keep this as a driver and keep loking for prts for the 66.

that is a nice one. If i wasn't pathelogically against 4-doors, I would have one like that. You found a good one, as you say, it should make a great driver. No doubt it'll do you proud once its cleaned up , prettied up and polished.

An LTD too!...that has to make you feel good.

Nice find, did you tow that car backwards on that trailer? How far did you have to tow it?

Thanks,I am pretty happy about the find, first time i ever got that lucky.
yes i did tow the car backwards on the trailer for 3 reasons,1 thats the way it was parked so it was the only way to load it,2 i wanted the motor toward the back for tongue weight on my truck(my truck is lowered and it is a Big block) and 3 it was only 5 miles from the house.

man that front seat looks like mine- sans tears. if you redo the interior let me know

BTW- the 'two tone' LTD seats are NOT- the white part at the top is faded- originally was also navy blue- noticed on mine when I pulled the rear pkg tray exposing top of rear seat. if yours aint white up top, it would be the first one Ive ever seen not faded to off white.

if youre thinking about wheels, I tried a bunch, and being a 4 door most just didnt seem to fit...these are 16x7 96-98 crown vic(almost identical version used 93-95) they only came on cars with the 'handling package'- others were not as deep faced.
