I am putting a set of windsor jr heads on a 89' mustang 5.0. The motor is stock except for some bolt on's for cheap horsepower. My question is that the instructions to the heads say to drill the smog bumps if wanting to retain emmissions. Well i do not have to pass emmissions tests but if i do not drill them will the motor run right with the smog pump and all still working, will it trip an check engine code? What should i do?? Thanks

If you don't drill the holes through you wouldn't want to run the smog pump or the converse, if you keep the smog pump you need to drill the holes through.
