what makes the 70 a coupe or grande? what is a grande, did it come with more options?

as far as i can tell, i just have a coupe.

It was a luxury edition of the Mustang usually with deluxe interior and dress up items. It also had more sound deadener. Basically better standard features. IIRC in '70 they came with a half vinyl roof and a V8 was base engine not an I6. In '70 it was considered its own model and got the designation 04 in the third and fourth digit of the VIN to identify it. That's how you can ID yours. HTH Stu

Odd little fact, My high school shop teacher ordered his '69 Grande new in 1968, his VIN was # 100003. The third car ordered for build in Dearborn for 1969!
