Hello all, I have just finished putting another 289 in my '51 Victoria, went to turn it over yesterday and nothing happened. I had lights/wipers etc working, but there is a slight mystery surrounding the inhibitor switch. There are 2 2 wire cables coming out of the gearbox (C4), one will be reverse lights which I dont use and the other inhibitor switch right?
I thought we had bypassed the inhibitor switch by shorting it out, but yeah nothing happened. Then we tried to hook it up, when I hit the key there was a spark from the negative terminal on the battery and now nothing works.
Would this most likely be the solenoid stuffed? All the fuses seem fine, so I guess must be something else.
Thanking you
