I was just wondering if there is a reason my head gaskets have small holes where the water passages are. (much smaller than the passage)

Would it help to "match" the gaskets to the block and head water passages?

I'm guessing they are made this way for a reason... but still wondering.

These are the "stock" sbf heads gaskets.

Anyone notice this before?

I think your talking about the steam holes?

Are they the real small ones that are directly over the water passage?

If so thats the steam hole your seeing.
