Hey guys I've got a little problem here. When I had my 351w built the morons at the machine shop messed up on the valve guides on the left head of my D00E's, so every exhaust valve whacked a piston (i'm just going to sand the scuffs and run).

Here's the problem, I'm getting jerked around on getting the heads fixed, I dropped them off Tues, here it is Sat and they haven't even looked at them or ordered parts. I need to be loaded on a trailer Wed night.

Here is the question, I can get Performer RPM's Tomorrow (Sun). Can I get away with clearance on PTOV, 9.8:1 dished pistons, .520int .530exh solid cam. The pistons have a small relief for intake but not exh, worried about the 2.02's hitting. Should I just pray I can get them flycut on Mon?

Any Ideas appreciated.

Thanks
Adam (sorry for long post)

Considering the variables involved with any given engine combo, I doubt anyone would be willing to give you a definitive answer. The accepted method of checking for PTV clearance is your best choice. No guessing involved then.

Good luck.
