hi does anyone know what other car type standard headers will fit a 65 galaxie with a 289 "like mustang ,fairlane etc" and not shorty type, there is not a lot of choices or none at all for galaxies and crites is too much for me any help is appreciated

Good luck! This has been gone over SO many times. But from what I gathered is the headers (long tube) for 71-73 mustangs work with the help of a ballpeen for clearence. Our 351C uses the 71-73 mustang headers on our 65.
