How strong are they? I stripped the ddamper bolt on a 351 crank and used heli-coils to rethread it. never had a bit of trouble with it.

The Blue Thunder heads come with a form of heli-coils in all threaded openings such as the rocker studs, manifolds (intake and exhaust).

The A429 heads I acquired have some stripped exhaust bolt holes from using short header bolts. I have the kit to redo all of them and do not have any second thoughts about doing it.

Also heli-coiled my harmonic damper puller some years back, still works great, even with those stubborn/stuck dampers.
