there are five wires coming or going to the 1989 ford aod trans the wire's are
red with white stripe - a white with red stripe - a black with purple stripe
a red with blue stripe -a purple with orange stripe what wire go's were thank's for help

I assume you're fighting with the one in the first pic. The ones you use are the four shown in the pics below for park/neutral safety switch and reverse lights. You can always verify by checking for continuity between pairs of pins in each gear. HTH
