i have a 1989 ford 302 from a f-150 eng that going in to a1951 f-100 rod
that i like to change from the serpentine belt to a v- belt what water pump
to use what crank pulleys and what water pump pulleys to use thanks
I used early Mustang/Falcon pulleys, available anywhere. I'm just running the water pump and an alternator. Need to use a standard rotation pump and timing cover, mine were for a mid-70s Maverick. I RTVed the dipstick hole in the block and use the one in the timing cover. The stock 5.0 crank damper has a long integral spacer that can cause problems getting the pulleys to align. The car dampers are long, not sure about a truck damper. I used a Professional Products damper that you can buy different length spacers for.
