Rebuilt the rear end, replaced clutch packs, re-assembled properly, torqued everything etc... Put in 80W90 Limited Slip gear oil (generic brand as name stuff hard to get). Took the car for a drive and there is a tremendous amount of chatter on low speed turns, right and left. Is there a break in I am supposed to do before the chatter goes away? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks gang.

Did you add a bottle of friction modifier?

BTW did you remove the ring gear?

Once you add it, go out in the parking lot and GENTLY idle around in tight circles (blowing donuts wont help) LOL

The additive will get between the clutch plates as it mixes with the oil.

Next time during assembly, coat the clutches with a mix of oil and additive, then dump the rest of the additive in the oil when you fill it.

My favorite additive nowadays is from the MOPAR dealer by far, although you may be able to use the cheap stuff from a parts store, it sems to work, but the Mopar stuff is almost as good as the old smelly stuff

Thanks everyone. That was it. Don't know what I was thinking, but I assumed that if the oil was for trac-lok, it had the additive in it. Lesson learned. Runs really smooth now.
