This perticular phrase

<font color="red">"rental Shelbys made occasional weekend appearances at race tracks"</font>

Would make me think twice about buying a car from Hertz. especualy a performance one were someone may have ran it hard and put it away wet sence it wasn't their's.
The rentals companys should mark their cars clearly with Decals in the windows, fender panles and the such. Then ask the locol tracks not to let people run them.

I don't see what all the fuss is about, they're just basic GT's with some special paint and bolt ons. It's not a real shelby, Unless Shelby's going through the trouble of actually calling these "Shelby GT350s" with proper Shelby vins. If that is the case then that's pretty lame if you ask me.

I wouldn't go out of my way to rent one, and hertz is gonna want some serious $$$ since they are not normal rental cars. My guess is that when they are sold off they will sell for close if not more than what a new GT goes for just because of all the hype.

I liked the phrase about the fact they are not going to rent GT 500's "that would be like putting a match to gasoline". People drive regular rental cars like crazy you know they are going to do worse with a car like this.
