i have a rebuilt c-4 transmission.
it in a 1969 mustang.
problem is that when i drive slow. it hesitates when it shifts into 3rd. engine reves up like it slipping then shifts into 3rd? guy that rebuilt it for me said well it because i dont have kickdown cable on it? is that so.??? only thing that make me question that is when i got the car 15 years ago with the first transmission in it it didnt have kickdown cable either and it didnt do it? is there something he not telling me or do i need a kickdown cable??? thanks

Your '69 mustang shouldn't have a "Cable" at all, it should have a ROD.....

i can order a rod in any mustang catalog but my question is still is that the reason???

The kickdown wont fix it.Do a search on here for 2-3 flare or something like that.It is common prob. It is covered.Can be simple like band adjustment or modulator adjustment.
