I have a Holley 4 bbl list # 3490-S on a 65 Mustang GT
A-code 289 and can't find any info on the carb. It has manual secondaries and a manual choke. Can anybody tell me what cfm it is or where I can find out info on it?

Thanks

the hipo 289 didnt come with a holley

The HiPo engine was engineered to increase performance and high-RPM reliability over standard 289 fare. It had solid lifters with hotter cam timing; 10.5:1 compression; a dual point, centrifugal advance distributor; smaller combustion chamber heads with cast spring cups and screw-in studs; low restriction exhaust manifolds; and a bigger, manual choke 595 ft³/min carburetor (std 289 4v was 480 ft³/min).

There are no other numbers on the carb that I can find. It's almost like this carb doesn't exist. I've looked all over the internet and can't find anything on a 3490-S. It's obviously not the original carb but I would like to know what a 3490-s was made for and to see if it is a 600cfm or ?

I pulled it off a 289 4V 225 hp not a 289 Hipo solid lifter.
