If I use the crites kit to put a 460 in my 68 stang, I understand hood clearance is an issue.I have a 69 mach hood scoop on it now so i have a little extra room.Am i limited to a performer intake?Anybody had any experience trying to stay under the stock hood. How do the intakes measure up in height say from performer to victor?

A Torker II intake will be your best bet for hood clearance and performance. Performer is a bad intake except for towing and the old Torker is even worse. Torker II and a 2-3" air cleaner should fit fine maybe even with a 1" open carb spacer.
