I'm replacing a 3speed with a C6 on a 351w. At about TDC (no timing mark visable on the balancer) the extra hole in the back of the crank is at the 2 o'clock position and two bolt holes at the top side by side. The flexplate has no extra hole. One of the holes has a weird shape and the weight is at 11 o'clock.

How do I index the flexplate?

Dont worry about the extra hole.Sit the flexplate on the crank and turn it until all the holes line up.Some holes are close but it will only line up correctly in one position...

Thanks for the info. They looked evenly spaced. I guess I didn't look at it close enough.
