Hey guys after opening up a 1/8 mile track close to my house I have been helping my buddy with his car ( I haven't found the right one for me yet). He is running a 84 mustang mods are.
warn out 302- I built this motor 9 years ago and ran it in my mudracer untell last year when he took it over. It has 10to1 cr holley heads, vic jr intake, demon 625, 150 HP shot of nitrouse.
We just installed some 3.73 gears, 27inch quicktime's,90/10's
last weekend he ran a 1.65 60 foot, 7.79 1/8th at 89 MPH.
How does that sound? Havent realy seen many other cars there with similar setups so don't have much to compare it to. Also have a pretty cool vid but not sure how to post it.
This is a full waight car that is driven on the streat.
The other 2 people in the video are friends also. The truck runs a 8.2 and the camero is a 8 flat all motor.

Nice numbers! Those are great times for a street car. What are the times without the juice?

My '67 runs a 9.14 ET, but at 81.8 MPH (traction limited - street tires, peg leg diff) It's a NA 302 with Roush 10:1 heads and an Edelbrock RPM, 650DP. My 60' was horrible at around 2.2

You're probably pushing 320-350HP to the wheels with that combo, figuring the car weighs around 3200 with driver.

You can post the video on a site like www.putfile.com, and then send a link to it. Sign up is free there.

There maybe that will work.
As far as his times before, I think last season he was running 9flat but that was with stock 3.08 gears, stock tires, and no juice. If I remeber right he ran the new tires and gears to a 8.7 with no juice? Thats just a guess because I,m not sure but it seems like the spray was worth about a sec.

I'll beleive 8.7 on motor with slicks, thats about the same power level I'm making, if I had some traction. An extras 150HP would probably drop it a second, easy.

That thing launches hard!

Is that a right hand turn straight after the finish line?

The snow capped hills look great in the background. What sort of temperature was it on the day?
Ya the turn is pretty close to the end but the shutdown area is pretty long. Most of the faster cars just over shoot the road then turn around and come back up to it. The track is part of an old airport and is just getting going the road will be moved down later in the year as money comes in. The cool thing is we got there at 1:00 left at 4:00 and got 5-7 runs in, the guy in the chevy truck was there about an hour longer and said he had 15 runs in.Not bad for the 20 bucks it cost to inter.
The temp was probably in the mid to low 60's
