how do you change a 1963 ford galaxie intake manifold bypass tube? I am changing out from a 2 to 4 barrel carb, and going with the stock intake mannifold, the lil tube seems to be bent a little and cut short, is it hard to change this out? the replacement part that dearborn has doesnt have any threads so is it as easy as pulling the old one and replacing it. How do you get it to seal? Thanks in advance.

It's a press fit. Take a pair of vice grips, a bolt that will just fit into the tube, put the bolt into the tube and clamp on the vice grips and twist the old one out. Clean the hole in the manifold , put some sealer on the new tube and drive it in with a piece of wood and a hammer.

Formagasket. Dark brown stuff. I've never had a leak using it. Aluminum intake-thread sealer-white stuff.
