I SLOWLY GRIND THE ROUND BOTTOM DOWN TO AROUND .180 AND THEY Seem TO STAY FLAT AND HOLD UP WELL. Raising pressure to aroung 230 and was hoping I wasnt pushing my luck. ED

Should be just fine . I've not done it but i do machine the normal .220" pressure plate with a step usually around .160 but leave the centre at full thickness ..

Some of the thin C5 plates were .140" and the Alto kits go as thin as .130"
