hi guys
i have a column shift c-6 in my 1966 mercury montclair i am planning on buying the lokar shift linkage kit. i can remove the kickdown bracket off no problem but cannot figure out how to remove the shift selector lever off the transmission.any help will be great. the neutral safety switch is mounted to the column

Pull the pan and valve body and then you can unbolt the lever.

i knew that was going to happen i had just replaced the seal and the fluid is it possible to just dremel the piece off amd remove the old one on the sides to slide the new lokar arm on
